The events of the MUSICA MUNDI Series are not just choral competitions, they are also festivals. Choirs may take part in the events without participating in the contests and they all receive the best possible support for their artistic development.

Would your choir like to take part in festivals but not (yet) in choir competitions? It is possible! Get a taste of the atmosphere of a competition, attend the competition concerts and enjoy the tourist programme. In addition, at some of our festivals you can also take part in consultation sessions: make use of the expert knowledge of the competition jurors at presentations of your choir from which the public is excluded. In this way you will get an insight into your current international standard and will be well-prepared for possible future participation in a competition. Alternatively, we can also arrange for a special rehearsal with an internationally renowned choir conductor.

Our aim is to grant the possibility of international competition not only to choirs which already belong to the elite of their countrys lay or amateur music scene, but to all choral groups so that they have the opportunity to compare themselves with others. Sing along with people who think alike and share the same musical level of achievement.

• Choirs have the opportunity to form new friendships through singing jointly with groups from their own and other countries
• At least twenty international choirs meet at each festival
• As a rule the jury at competitions consists of five international choir experts.
